Rastraneta Te Rashtrapita: Special Campaign for the Rights and Welfare of Scheduled Cast & Scheduled Tribes

The scheduled tribes in Maharashtra face an uncertain and itinerant lifestyle, due to which the benefits of various welfare schemes of the government and important government documents do not easily reach them. Consequently, many in this community face obstacles in exercising their fundamental rights. To remove these obstacles and ensure they have the right to live with dignity, the Devendra Fadnavis government has decided to conduct a special ‘Rights and Certificates Campaign for Scheduled Cast & Scheduled Tribes’ on a locality-wise basis as part of the ‘Rastraneta Te Rashtrapita‘ campaign on a fortnightly basis throughout the state.

Special Initiative to Bring Scheduled Cast & Scheduled Tribes into the Mainstream

As part of the comprehensive ‘Rastraneta Te Rashtrapita’ campaign, a special drive will be conducted across all districts and talukas in Maharashtra over three days on September 27, 28, and 29, 2026. After this special drive, this campaign will be conducted regularly on the first Tuesday of every three months. The main objective of this special drive is to provide citizens of de-notified and nomadic tribes with the necessary identity cards, government documents, and benefits of various schemes through digital services in a single location. Through these camps, people from the de-notified castes and nomadic tribes community will be provided with important government documents.
